Maple Bacon Carrots
Ingredients:
Some carrots
Your favorite bacon
Some maple syrup
Salt & Pepper
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the Carrots:
Chop the tops off the carrots and peel them if desired. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the carrots and parboil them for 5 minutes. Drain the carrots and let them cool until they are easy to handle.
Wrap the Carrots:
Once the carrots are cool, wrap each carrot with a strip of bacon. If the carrots are long, you may need more than one strip of bacon to cover each carrot.
Prepare for Baking:
Place the bacon-wrapped carrots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray. Brush each bacon-wrapped carrot generously with maple syrup.
Bake the Carrots:
Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and the bacon is crispy. Check halfway through and brush with additional maple syrup if desired.
Finish and Serve:
Once the carrots are tender, remove them from the oven. Brush with more maple syrup and season with a dash of salt and pepper. Serve warm and enjoy!
