Strawberry Delight French Toast Spirals

Ingredients:
12 slices white sandwich bread
1/2 pint fresh strawberries
4 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)
2 large eggs
2 Tbsp milk
3 tsp granulated sugar, divided
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Rinse, hull, and roughly chop the strawberries. Put into a bowl, add 1 tsp sugar, and toss to coat.
Soften cream cheese in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Stir in powdered sugar until well combined.
Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin and trim off the crusts.
Spread about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture along one edge of each bread slice. Top with a spoonful of strawberries.
Gently but tightly roll up the bread around the strawberry and cream cheese mixture. Continue
with the remaining bread.
Whisk eggs with milk, 2 tsp sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
Preheat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add a bit of oil and a pat of butter.
Coat the rolls in the egg mixture, place seam side down in the pan. Cook until browned, turning
to cook all sides evenly.
Serve the rolls dusted with powdered sugar and topped with remaining strawberries.
