Fryer Steak
Ingredients:
2 rib-eye steaks, around 260g each and 3cm thick
1 tsp oil
Instructions:
Prepare the Steaks:
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (392°F).
Rub the rib-eye steaks with 1 tsp of oil and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cook the Steaks:
Place the steaks in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overlapping to allow for even cooking.
Cook for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare, flipping the steaks halfway through the cooking time.
For medium, cook for 8-10 minutes, and for well-done, cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Rest the Steaks:
Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures the steak is moist and flavorful.
Tips:
Should I flip the steak part-way through cooking? Yes, flipping the steak ensures an even cook on both sides.
Do I still need to rest the steak with air frying? Yes, resting your steak for a few minutes after cooking in your air fryer allows the juices to redistribute and the muscle fibers to relax, resulting in a consistently moist and flavorful steak.
