Easy and Healthy Chia Seed Jam
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a mix)
2-3 tbsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
Mash Berries: Mash the berries with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
Mix Ingredients: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the honey or maple syrup, chia seeds, and lemon juice.
Thicken Jam: Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken. If the jam is too thin, add more chia seeds, one teaspoon at a time, until it reaches your desired thickness.
Store: Once the jam has thickened, transfer it to a jar and let it cool to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
