No-Bake Nescafé Milk Dessert
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons Nescafé instant coffee
1/3 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional toppings: whipped cream, cocoa powder, or chocolate shavings
Instructions:
Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and sugar. Stir the dry ingredients together until well combined.
Heat the Milk: Slowly pour the milk into the saucepan with the sugar and cornstarch mixture, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Turn the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently to prevent scorching at the bottom of the pan.
Add the Coffee: Once the milk mixture begins to thicken slightly (after about 3-5 minutes), pour in the dissolved Nescafé and vanilla extract. Continue stirring as the coffee flavor infuses into the creamy milk base.
Cook Until Thickened: Keep cooking the mixture on medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency. This usually takes another 5-7 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the mixture coats the back of a spoon.
Pour and Chill: Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the dessert mixture into individual serving cups or a large dish, depending on how you’d like to serve it. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Serve and Enjoy: Once chilled, the dessert is ready to serve! For an extra indulgent touch, top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or some chocolate shavings.
