Black Pepper Steak with Peppers and Onions

Ingredients:
– 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), thinly sliced
– 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
– 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
– 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
– 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
– 3 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp oyster sauce
– 1 tbsp black pepper, freshly ground
– 1 tbsp cornstarch
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tbsp ginger, minced
– 2 tbsp vegetable oil
– Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:
1. Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch. Add the thinly sliced steak, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.

2. Prep the Veggies: While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion.

3. Sear the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak and sear until it’s browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

4. Cook the Veggies: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion, cooking until they’re tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

5. Combine and Finish: Return the cooked steak to the skillet, mixing it with the vegetables. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
