WOULD YOU EAT THIS TREMENDOUS MAC ‘N’ CHEESE STUFFED BURGER FEAST
Ingredients:
For the Mac ‘n’ Cheese Filling:
1 cup cooked macaroni
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Burgers:
1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices of cheddar or American cheese
4 burger buns
Lettuce, tomato, and condiments of choice
Instructions:
Make the Mac ‘n’ Cheese:
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add milk and shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
Stir in the cooked macaroni and season with salt and pepper. Let the mac ‘n’ cheese cool slightly so it firms up.
Prepare the Burger Patties:
In a large bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Divide the beef into 8 equal portions. Flatten each portion into thin patties.
Stuff the Burgers:
Place a spoonful of cooled mac ‘n’ cheese in the center of 4 of the patties.
Top with the remaining patties and seal the edges by pinching them together to encase the mac ‘n’ cheese inside.
Cook the Burgers:
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar or American cheese on top of each burger to melt.
Assemble the Burgers:
Toast the burger buns and layer with lettuce, tomato, or your favorite condiments.
Place the mac ‘n’ cheese stuffed burgers on the buns and serve immediately.
