WOULD YOU EAT THIS TREMENDOUS PEPPER STEAK STIR FRY FEAST
Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
2 bell peppers (red, green, or both), thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1/4 cup water
Cooked rice for serving
Sesame seeds and chopped scallions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and water. Stir until smooth and set aside.
Cook the Steak:
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Add the bell peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Combine and Stir-Fry:
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce.
Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
Serve:
Serve the pepper steak stir-fry over a bed of cooked rice.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions if desired.
