Prime Rib Sandwiches with Horseradish Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
Prime Rib Roast: 2 pounds, cooked and thinly sliced
French Baguette: 1 large, cut into sandwich-length pieces and halved
Olive Oil: For brushing
Salt and Pepper: To taste
For the Horseradish Cream Sauce:
Sour Cream: ½ cup
Prepared Horseradish: 3 tbsp, or to taste
Mayonnaise: ¼ cup
Dijon Mustard: 1 tsp
Lemon Juice: 2 tsp
Salt and Pepper: To taste
Optional Garnishes: Arugula or watercress, for a peppery bite
Instructions:
Prepare the Horseradish Cream Sauce: In a small bowl, combine sour cream, prepared horseradish, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until needed.
Toast the Baguette: Brush the cut sides of the baguette with olive oil and toast under the broiler until golden and crisp.
Assemble the Sandwiches: Layer slices of prime rib on the bottom halves of the toasted baguette. Generously apply the horseradish cream sauce over the meat. Add arugula or watercress if using.
Serve: Place the top halves of the baguette on, cut into portions, and serve immediately.
