Today, I stand here not because I am the most talented person. I came here wearing old clothes, holding a microphone, and carrying a heart filled with many years of stories. I have lived through days when there was not enough food, when I had no beautiful home, and when there were many moments when I had to hide my pain behind a smile. But no matter how difficult life became, I never gave up hope.
I have lost people whom I loved more than anything. There were many nights when I sat alone and asked myself, “Why does life have to hurt so much?” But when morning came, I still got back on my feet. I learned that even when our hearts are broken, we can still find a small light in the darkness. Sometimes, simply continuing to live is the greatest victory of all.
I do not know whether all of you will like my voice. But I want you to listen with your heart, not just with your ears. If one day you feel that you have no value, please remember that age, mistakes, poverty, or the past cannot define the worth of a person. Everyone deserves another chance.
And today, I stand on this stage to tell all of you: never give up on your dreams. If an elderly woman who has endured so many hardships can stand here today, then you can stand up again too. Perhaps we cannot change the past, but we can choose what our tomorrow will look like. Please do not let your pain be the ending of your story. Let hope be the one that writes your next chapter.
