Bacon-Wrapped Cream Cheese Chicken
Ingredients:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 8 slices of bacon
– 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
3. Flatten the chicken breasts and spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each one. Fold the chicken breasts over to enclose the filling.
4. Wrap each stuffed chicken breast with two slices of bacon, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
5. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until the bacon is browned.
6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
