Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Strawberry Pretzel Salad
Ingredients:
For the Pretzel Crust:
2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 tbsp granulated sugar
For the Cream Cheese Layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
Strawberry Pretzel Salad whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
For the Strawberry Topping:
1 large box (6 oz) strawberry Jello
2 cups boiling water
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions:
Make the Pretzel Crust:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tbsp sugar. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.
Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup sugar together until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust, making sure to seal the edges to prevent the Jello layer from seeping through. Refrigerate while preparing the next layer.
Prepare the Strawberry Topping:
In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jello in 2 cups of boiling water. Stir in the sliced strawberries. Let the mixture cool to room temperature before pouring it over the cream cheese layer.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or until the Jello is fully set. Slice and serve this Strawberry Pretzel Salad chilled for a sweet and refreshing treat!
Serve:
This Strawberry Pretzel Salad is perfect for summer gatherings, potlucks, or as a sweet addition to any dessert table. The combination of sweet strawberries, creamy filling, and salty pretzel crust is irresistible!
